If you use it three or more times a year, a higher AAA tier can pay for itself. Do I need to sign up for anything?

Will my insurance reimburse a pay-per-call roadside service?

Sometimes. Many auto insurance policies (Geico, Allstate, Progressive, State Farm) include roadside reimbursement up to a limit even without a roadside-coverage rider. Save the operator receipt and file the claim.

Is pay-per-call cheaper than AAA in the long run?
